Mercedes M157 5.5T 63AMG Downpipe

70mm (2,75 inch) Downpipes without catalyst or particulate filter available for the following models with M157 5.5 turbo engine:

• Mercedes CLS-class C218 CLS63AMG 5.5T - 2012-2018
• Mercedes E-class S212 E63AMG 5.5T - 2011-2017
• Mercedes E-class W212 E63AMG 5.5T - 2011-2017

Suited for models with 525, 558 & 585hp.

Available in 2 versions, type 1 is suited for models with RWD, type 2 is suited for versions with AWD.

By installing a larger bore downpipe backpressure in the exhaust drops which makes the turbo rev easier which means the turbo starts building pressure at lower RPM's. If during shifting the pressure drops it also builds back pressure faster. 

By only installing a larger diameter downpipe the horsepower usually rises between 15 and 20hp and torque also goes up by 25 to 30Nm. Combining a downpipe with chiptuning brings even more extra power.

A software update (chiptuning) would be advised.
